On Friday the palmetto boys weightlifting team won the district title again. The tigers win back to back district championships. Senior captain Rilee Jackson says “ It feels really good to be able to see the results of all the hard work we have put in the last few years”. Rylee came in first in his weightclass without even maxing out which he is building up to do by the time they make it to states. When asked about the meet Jackson Ellis said” It feels good end your senior year with at least a District championship, hopefully we get farther but we have to take it one meet at a time”. Jackson won the 153lb weight class with a 485lb total. The tigers compete in regionals on April 9th and Haines city high school.
