Taylor Swift announced her new album ‘Midnights’ during the VMAs on August 28, 2022. 

The album was said to be released on the 21st of October. She’s had many successful albums released in the past and fans must wait to see, or in this case hear, how far the 32 year old artist has come and what new emotional songs she has in store. There have been many opinions going around the school on what they expect, what kind of music the album consists of, and whether or not they’ll enjoy the new songs. 

Sophomore, Samantha Tucker, who has been a fan of Taylor Swift since she was nine, states “I am very excited for the new album! I think it will have some 70’s rock inspiration, and be different than anything she’s done before.” 

Another PHS sophomore, Elisha Light said “I’m hoping for the release of new break up songs to cope with mine.” 

15 year old, Thomas Ngo, has been listening to Taylor swift since ‘Bad Blood’ came out in 2015 said, “I’m so excited. I can’t wait to hear her new album, I love pop music.” 

Only a few weeks left until the new album is released and hopefully the new album is met by everyone’s expectations.
