Over spring break, Palmetto High School buildings six and nine were torn down.
Buildings six and nine were torn down due to the new cafeteria being built on the same site of buildings six and nine. “When it’s finished and we have a new cafeteria, then we will go back and tear down the old cafeteria, ” said Mr. Bradshaw, assistant principal. The construction of the new cafeteria should be finished during the summer of 2024,
Since buildings six and nine were torn down, the path to get to buildings 10 and 11 has been changed. Students now have to go around the construction site. “It’s really annoying to get to 10 and 11th buildings due to the construction site blocking the regular path we used to take to get to the buildings,” said Cat Pham, student at Palmetto High School.
