In the summer of 2024, students at Palmetto High School will have the opportunity to travel! Mrs. Brunner, U.S. History teacher, is partnering with EF Tours to lead a trip to Europe. The trip itinerary will follow important places in Europe during World War II.
They will visit London, Paris, Normandy, and Berlin, “the way the soldiers may have during WWII.” It will be the 80th anniversary for soldiers landing on the Normandy Beaches represented as D-day. There will be sightseeing in these places like Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Some of the activities to look forward to are Normandy beaches, topography of Terror museum in Berlin, and the Berlin Wall. London would be the first stop and we will end up in Berlin where you’ll head back home.
The trip is on June 4 – 14, 2024 and you must be 16 years or older by the time of the trip. This trip is not sponsored by Palmetto High School or the School District of Manatee County, so it is open to high schoolers in general, not just Palmetto students. See Mrs. Brunner in 3-109 for information.
