Tigers Read to Panthers

The Palmetto High Key Club held a literacy night at Palm View Elementary. This literacy night was very fun for the students at Palm View.

This event happened on January 25 at 8:45 a.m to 10 a.m. Seven students, along with teachers, from the Palmetto High Key Club read books to nine classes of kindergarten through fourth grade students.

Each class had about 15 minutes of reading and a few minutes of extra time for the elementary students to ask the students from Palmetto High some questions about high school. “The kids were very excited, they seemed really happy to have older kids visiting them,” said Emily Hogarth.

The Palmetto High Key Club will have many more events, like a Siesta Beach Cleanup, Kids Against Hunger Packaging Event, and Rhea Lana’s sorting event soon.
