The long-awaited and well-anticipated ‘Black Panther’ movie debuted on November 11, 2022.
With the heartbreaking death of Chadwick Boseman, the movie was expected to be an emotional ride for not only the viewers, but also the cast members. Fans have big expectations for the new movie as the first Black Panther set standards high from the beginning.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had the second largest opening weekend of 2022 and was the number one movie at the box office. Not even days after its release, it’s already a fan favorite. Although there are many opinions on whether the first movie was better or what could have been changed, fans still appreciated the film and enjoyed it.
Freshman, Luke Robaldo, who watched the movie as soon as it was released, said, “It was emotional to see Chadwick Boseman and his funeral at the beginning, but I did like how they did it; it seemed very classy.” Overall, Luke rated the movie an 8.3 out of 10.
Jayden Reif, who is in tenth grade, rated the movie a 7.8 out of 10. When asked if the expectations for the movie was met, he said that “I didn’t really go in with much expectations because I already knew that Chadwick wasn’t gonna be in it so I was just seeing what they’re gonna do with it, … but I’d say it was pretty well, so yeah, I think they met the expectations.”
