The key club is defined as a “foster service and leadership for high school students. Students work on various service projects in different capacities to fill the needs of the community.”
The Key club started the second week of school. The key club meets every Tuesday after school in the media center where they go over any upcoming community service opportunities.
The main objectives of this program are leadership, character building, caring and inclusiveness. Since the key club is an international club, the Palmetto Key club offers a unique location because the club is closer to the beach, larger communities, as well as farming rural areas giving students unique opportunities for service projects. This club is recommended because of the benefits any student in need of service hours for AICE or bright futures or just want to help the community, the local community members reach out to students with many services that students wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to be involved with.
