Venice Game (Postgame)

I interviewed Coach Marino, this is how it went.

With the first question I asked; “Who won the game?”

Coach Marino’s response; “Venice, 42-10.”

The second question; “Describe the intensity of the game?”

Coach Marino’s response; “It was a great game. The score is actually not indicative of the game itself. It was actually 21-10 with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter. We had the ball in the three yard line going in for which was hopefully going to be the touch down…We did not get it at fourth down, we went for it on fourth down but did not get it. Our defense lost hope and started giving up some points late in the game, very late in the game.

And the third question; “Describe the defensive line (Palmetto)?”

Coach Marino’s response; “Offensive and defensive line did a heck of a job. Again to be 21-10 mid-way through the fourth quarter, it was a testament to those guys and be able to stand toe-to-toe with some of the best lineman in the country.”

Here’s the fourth question; “Any player(s) of the game?”

Coach Marino’s response; “Offensively Cleve Benson. The way he came in we were already down on our starting quarterback, and then when our second string backup quarterback got hurt. He came in and gave us a spark. We were losing 21-3, he takes us on a drive, makes it 21-10, came back out, then takes us on another drive to the three yard line. He played outstanding.
