I had interviewed Coach Marino regarding to the game and how it played out. This was his response.

The first question I asked

“Who won the game?”

Coach Marino’s response; “Saint Pete did. 15-6.

The next crucial question I asked was; “Describe the intensity of the game?”

Coach Marino’s much needed response; “It was very intense. We unfortunately had three serious injuries on Saint Pete Lakewood side. It was 9-6 with five minutes to go, so it was a back and fourth knock-down, drag out battle. We lost at the end.”

“Wow, that’s crazy” I said.

Question number three was; “What would you do differently next time?”

Coach Marino’s response; “We made a lot of mistakes as terms of mis-queues, bad snaps, mis-assignments, some dropped balls. Things that were going to come with time and reps. We’ve been limited with the amount of practices we’ve been able to have because of the heat law, lightning laws, then you have COVID, then we missed the Southeast game, and we only played a quarter against Newsome. Just lack of reps, lack of some game-time experience.”
