At least 17 Fatalities in Fl High School Shooting

A former student of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school, opened fire Valentines Day afternoon. The school shooting took place in Parkland, Florida. At this time there are at least 17 fatalities, and dozens remain injured. The suspected shooter, 19 year old Nicholas Cruz was taken into custody nearby in Coral Springs. Cruz, a former student of the high school was expelled for disciplinary reasons early in the year. Found at the crime scene was an “AR-15-style” weapon and multiple magazines. Twelve victims were found inside the school itself, two found outside the school, and one in Pine Island. At least a dozen other people were transferred to local hospitals and since then only two fatalities have occurred while some still remain in surgery. The Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting is the 18th school shooting to occur in the U.S. in the year of 2018.
